Baseball: Padres v. Mariners at Petco Park, Friday Night

Come see the San Diego Padres take on the Seattle Mariners this Friday night at Petco Park, just a couple blocks from our conference location.  It should be a perfect night for baseball; Weather.com is predicting temperatures in the 60's, light winds, and 0% chance of rain.  There is a fireworks show scheduled as well!  Tickets will be in the $15 dollar range (maybe a buck or two more depending on what is available).  Note: Please sign up by noon on Thursday!  If you need&n

The Beer Hike

Yes, it is once again time for the annual CALI Beer Hike, the thirteenth such peregrination in search of tasty craft beer.  All with a thirst for hoppy goodness are welcome to join us as we hike to local taps in search of real ale. we will meet in the lobby of the Indigo at 8 pm (time subject to change, so watch this entry for late changes), ready to hike.

DIY eBooks! A Workshop

This day long workshop is being held as part of the 2012 CALI Conference for Law School Computing. Workshop attendees will spend the day turning existing files into an ebook that will be usable on any number of devices. Please note that this is a rather technical hands-on workshop and it will be limited to 20 participants. Please be sure to read the requirements below. You must be a registered attendee at the conference to sign up for the workshop. Sign ups for the workshop are on a first come, first served basis. 

Linux Installfest

Come and install some Linux! On Wednesday evening we'll be in room 227 to help you install Linux. Bring a Windows or Mac laptop and some of Teknoids finest Linux gurus will help you install VirtualBox and their favorite flavor of Linux. By using VirtualBox, you don't need to do any reconfiguration of your computer or hard drive.
